“Can it run Crysis?” has been a meme since 2007, when the PC game’s outlandishly steep system requirements to run it with everything maxed brought hardware to its knees.
And now, thanks to Crytek and Saber Interactive, we know the Nintendo Switch can.
The game hits Nintendo’s console July 23rd, marking the first appearance of Crysis on a Nintendo console. It’s also the debut of the new remaster, with the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions being delayed earlier this month until Crytek and Saber Interactive can get them polished up to the level they demand of the one-time PC breaker.
Here’s the press release:
Crytek’s New Trailer Showcases the Tech Powering Crysis Remastered on Nintendo Switch, Available July 23
FRANKFURT, Germany – July 17, 2020 – Crytek, in partnership with Saber Interactive, the team that brought The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to Nintendo Switch last year, has released a new trailer that dives into the technology used to bring the sci-fi classic Crysis Remastered to life on Switch.

Crysis Remastered is coming to Nintendo Switch on July 23, 2020. Pre-order it now for $29.99 on the Nintendo eShop!
About Crysis Remastered

Crysis Remastered adds new graphic features, high-quality textures, and CRYENGINE’s native hardware- and API-agnostic ray tracing solution – on PC, Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro – to update the game for a new generation of hardware.
What begins as a simple rescue mission becomes the battleground of a new war as alien invaders swarm over the game’s island setting. Armed with a powerful Nanosuit, players must use adaptive tactics to survive and conquer. Crysis Remastered will launch in the future on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation®4.
