Crysis Remastered Tech Trailer Showcases Nintendo Switch

“Can it run Crysis?” has been a meme since 2007, when the PC game’s outlandishly steep system requirements to run it with everything maxed brought hardware to its knees.

And now, thanks to Crytek and Saber Interactive, we know the Nintendo Switch can.

The game hits Nintendo’s console July 23rd, marking the first appearance of Crysis on a Nintendo console. It’s also the debut of the new remaster, with the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions being delayed earlier this month until Crytek and Saber Interactive can get them polished up to the level they demand of the one-time PC breaker.

Here’s the press release:

Crytek’s New Trailer Showcases the Tech Powering Crysis Remastered on Nintendo Switch, Available July 23

FRANKFURT, Germany – July 17, 2020 – Crytek, in partnership with Saber Interactive, the team that brought The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to Nintendo Switch last year, has released a new trailer that dives into the technology used to bring the sci-fi classic Crysis Remastered to life on Switch.

Take a look at the game’s signature groundbreaking visuals, destructible open sandbox world, and adaptive gameplay on a brand-new platform. Vegetation bending, upgraded textures, depth of field and motion blur, enhanced dynamic lighting, global illumination (SVOGI), gyro aiming, and even sharks (…sharks?) are all packed into Crytek’s debut game on Switch.

Crysis Remastered is coming to Nintendo Switch on July 23, 2020. Pre-order it now for $29.99 on the Nintendo eShop!

About Crysis Remastered
With its 2007 release, Crysis set the industry standard for first-person shooters with stunning visuals, highly evolved gameplay, and an enormous sandbox world. Crysis Remastered adds new graphic features, high-quality textures, and CRYENGINE’s native hardware- and API-agnostic ray tracing solution – on PC, Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro – to update the game for a new generation of hardware.

What begins as a simple rescue mission becomes the battleground of a new war as alien invaders swarm over the game’s island setting. Armed with a powerful Nanosuit, players must use adaptive tactics to survive and conquer. Crysis Remastered will launch in the future on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation®4.

Hunt: Showdown Update 1.1 Now Available For PC

It was less than two months ago when Hunt: Showdown hit official 1.0 release status on PC, but the developers behind the acclaimed bounty hunter game have continued to put in work behind the scenes culminating in today’s 1.1 update.
The new update, available on PC, adds in a new strategic weapon – the Choke Bomb. This grenade-like device emits a fire-retardant gas in a small area that will extinguish any fire it touches and prevent new fires from being started. The gas also forces those within it to cough heavily, making them easier to locate.
In addition to the Choke Bomb, a pair of Legendary weapons (Southern Belle and Sins of the Son) were added, along with Legendary DLC items and a pair of Legendary characters.
Hunt: Showdown is currently available for PC and Xbox One.
Here’s the press release:

HUNT: SHOWDOWN RELEASES NEW UPDATE FOR PC

Update 1.1 brings new weapons, Legendary DLC, and many other improvements to Crytek’s multiplayer bounty hunting game

FRANKFURT, Germany – Oct. 18, 2019 – Crytek has released PC Update 1.1 for the online multiplayer bounty hunting game Hunt: Showdown. Having recently launched out of early access, Hunt: Showdown’s development team is already well in the habit of releasing frequent updates driven by player feedback, and 1.1 continues that tradition.
Among the community requests in Update 1.1 are the Stay-in-Lobby feature and the new Choke Bomb, which can extinguish most fires (though it will also make your Hunter cough, alerting players to your location). Other additions in the update include the Bornheim Nr 3 Match, improvements to UI, localization, gunplay, and AI, and all-new Legendary content.
The Legendary weapons arriving with Update 1.1 include an elegantly detailed Romero 77 called the Southern Belle, as well as Sins of the Son, a brutal and bloody Romero 77. In addition to these two new weapons, 1.1 brings three Legendary DLC items: the Last Gust, a Legendary Winfield M1873 Swift rifle, and two new Legendary characters: Phantom and Llorona’s Heir. The Last Gust DLC can be purchased for 3.99 USD/EUR, while the Phantom and Llorona’s Heir DLCs can be purchased for 4.99 USD/EUR each.
Hunt: Showdown is available for PC on Steam and the Crytek Shop, as well as on Xbox One in the Microsoft store. For more information, visit https://www.huntshowdown.com.

About Hunt: Showdown
Hunt: Showdown is a competitive first-person bounty hunting game that packs the thrill of survival games into a match-based format. Set in Louisiana in 1895, the game boasts a mixture of PvP and PvE elements that creates a uniquely tense experience. It’s not just the creatures who are a threat—it’s every Hunter on the map. In the classic game mode, a match of Hunt pits up to twelve players—playing solo or in teams of two or three—against each other as they race to take out gruesome beasts for a bounty, while Hunt’s Quick Play mode offers a shorter match for solo players to scavenge for weapons as they compete for a diminishing pool of bounty. The higher the risk, the higher the reward–but a single mistake could cost everything. Hunt is available now on Steam and Xbox One in the Microsoft store. Hunt: Showdown Releases on Xbox One

Hunt: Showdown is relentlessly intense, with enemies and other players both hunting you in a remarkably atmospheric recreation of the Louisiana swamps. The game puts players in the role of a bounty hunter tracking down supernatural enemies, competing against other players to find and defeat the target.
Played either solo in as part of a duo, Hunt: Showdown ramps up the tension through the use of permadeath – though the system has been tweaked multiple times through the lengthy beta period so I’m interested to see how it works in retail.
Hunt: Showdown hits retail on Xbox One today, and is already available on PC. Look for a review soon!

Hunt: Showdown Hits Official Release Status On Windows PC

Hunt: Showdown has been available on PC for quite some time in Steam Early Access, and according to Hunt Producer Faith Özbayram, that helped shape the game they delivered into official release today.
Hunt: Showdown’s development has been completely community-driven, and that has been such a rewarding experience for the entire team. Together with the community, we were able to create the fun, tense, memorable gaming experience we set out to make,” Özbayram is quoted as saying in the press release. “For example, it was a community request that inspired us to add teams of three to Hunt, alongside many other features. So a big thank you goes out to everyone who has supported us throughout the development process – we couldn’t have done it without you!”
The game really nails the atmosphere of the swamp, and is – for me – probably only second to PUBG in a final circle in terms of tension. Knowing there are other players out there competing with you to find your objective, waiting to capitalize if you make a mistake or leave yourself open, it dials up the stress level to 100.
The Xbox One version is also expected to hit official release candidate and out of Xbox Game Preview soon. If you haven’t check out either version, now’s the time!
Here’s the press release:

HUNT: SHOWDOWN OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES ON WINDOWS PC

Crytek’s online multiplayer bounty hunting game gets all-new DLC on PC and will officially release on Xbox One soon!

FRANKFURT, Germany – Aug. 27, 2019 – Today is the day! Crytek’s online multiplayer bounty hunting game Hunt: Showdown has fully launched out of Steam Early Access and is now available on Windows PC for $39.99 standalone, or bundled with the new “Legends of the Bayou” DLC for $44.99.  The Xbox One version of Hunt is expected to launch out of Xbox Game Preview soon.
The “Legends of the Bayou” DLC plunges deep into the bayou’s dark heart to bring players two new Legendary Hunter characters, two unique weapons, and 500 Blood Bonds. Stepping out of the shadows are two formidable Legendary Hunters—the Bone Doctor and the Weird Sister—as well as the Legendary Copperhead, a Nagant M1895 named for the ubiquitous indigenous snake. Players who already own the game can purchase the DLC alone for $9.99.

As a Steam Early Access title, Hunt: Showdown grew substantially over time with more than 20 updates and patches developed with constant feedback from the community. That close cooperation between the team and fans, says Hunt Producer Fatih Özbayram, was integral to the game’s development process.
Hunt: Showdown’s development has been completely community-driven, and that has been such a rewarding experience for the entire team. Together with the community, we were able to create the fun, tense, memorable gaming experience we set out to make,” said Özbayram. “For example, it was a community request that inspired us to add teams of three to Hunt, alongside many other features.
