Trailer Reveals HITMAN 3 VR Gameplay

I have to admit I didn’t foresee HITMAN supporting VR, but the new gameplay trailer from IO Interactive reveals exactly that.

The trailer – check it out here – makes it look great, which has me curious as to how it’ll play on PS VR. Situational awareness has always been key for Hitman, so restricting your view would up the challenge significantly.

HITMAN 3 arrives January 20th on PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and the Xbox Series consoles, Google Stadia, and PC. The game will also arrive on Nintendo Switch, playable using cloud streaming tech.

If you’re interested, HITMAN and HITMAN 2 are both on sale on assorted platforms and the games will import into HITMAN 3 so it’s a great time to jump into the whole franchise.

Here’s the press release:

Baldur’s Gate 3 hit Early Access today, letting gamers get their hands on Larian Studios take on the classic franchise for the first time.

The early access release is available on PC and Mac via Steam and GOG.com, and is also out on Google’s Stadia platform – yes, that’s still a thing.

The Early Access version of the game currently features only the first act of the game, but keep in mind that’s still about 25 hours of content and over 40,000 lines of dialogue.

As a massive fan of both the original Baldur’s Gate games and past Larian Studios titles, most recently Divinity: Original Sin II, I’m looking forward to spending a ton of time in their take on the franchise.

Here’s the press release:

Baldur’s Gate 3 Releases Today into Early Access on PC, Mac & Google Stadia

The fate of the Forgotten Realms is on your party’s shoulders. Will you carry it to salvation, or descend with it to hell?

DUBLIN  Oct. 6, 2020 — Larian Studios is excited to announce that its long-awaited RPG Baldur’s Gate 3 has today released into early access for PC and Mac on Steam and GOG.com, as well as Google Stadia. Players all over the world can now enjoy the first act of the game, which spans roughly 25 hours of content, 46,000 lines of English dialogue, 600 NPCs, and 146 spells and actions. The game’s extensive character creation system lets players pick from 16 races and subraces as well as six different classes, each with their own subclasses.

Today’s release into early access marks the beginning of a long journey toward full launch. Working directly with the community, the team will continuously iterate and improve upon the game, adding new content along the way. RPGs this large, with so many permutations, thrive from feedback as new features and fixes are incrementally added to the game. Early access gives players a chance to participate in development and gives the team an opportunity to explore different game ideas with a live community.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is an expansive, cinematic, player-driven RPG based on 5e D&D. It features a rich character creation system where players can create an avatar based on 16 different D&D races and subraces, select their cantrips, skills and abilities, and enter a world where their actions truly define the story. With a parasite planted in their brains, players wake up aboard a burning Nautiloid ship racing across hell at the center of an epic fight between Mind Flayers and red dragons. And that’s just the very beginning of this journey. Players will encounter many challenges upon their return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale about fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival — and the lure of absolute power.

Baldur’s Gate 3 expands on Larian’s award-winning narrative gameplay through the advent of cinematic storytelling and with dice rolls for key decisions throughout the game, in and out of combat. Dialogue options often have multiple responses, some of which may require a dice roll to succeed, defined by both luck as well as the attributes of the player character, or the circumstances of the situation.

The Forgotten Realms are a vast, detailed and diverse world, and there are secrets to be discovered all around. Verticality is a vital part of exploration. Players can sneak, dip, shove, climb, and jump as they journey from the depths of the Underdark to the glittering rooftops of the Upper City. How you survive, and the mark you leave on the world, is up to you.

Major Features:

  • Online multiplayer for up to four players allows adventurers to join forces in combat and split their party to follow their own quests and agendas. Concoct the perfect plan together… or introduce an element of chaos when your friends least expect it!
  • Evolved, turn-based combat based on the D&D 5e ruleset. Team-based initiative, advantage and disadvantage, and roll modifiers join combat cameras, expanded environmental interactions, and a new fluidity in combat that rewards strategy and foresight.
  • Define the future of the Forgotten Realms through your choices and the roll of the dice. No matter who you play as or what you roll, the world and its inhabitants will react to your story.
  • Player-initiated turn-based mode allows players to pause the world around them at any time, even outside of combat, letting you set up a tactical advantage before combat begins, pull off a heist with pin-point precision, escape a fiendish trap and more. Split your party, prepare ambushes, sneak in the darkness — and create your own luck!

Watch Dogs: Legion Gets Late October Release Date

Watch Dogs fits pretty neatly into the ‘Ubisoft formula’ that people love to complain about but also seem to love to play, as the games continually do well – so Watch Dogs: Legion should draw a lot of criticism and a ton of sales when it hits shelves, October 29th.

There’s a pretty massive difference between this and past games, as the ‘Legion’ part of the title is that you are, quite literally, legion. Ubisoft’s ‘Play As Anyone’ concept for the gameplay is something that hasn’t been tried in ages – the first game I can think of that allowed something like it is Messiah, but it didn’t execute the concept half as well as Watch Dogs: Legion is.

Every person has their own story, personality, and – most importantly – skills. As you assemble a 40-person roster of Resistance fighters, you’ll want to make sure you have a good blend of skills. After all, it’s not much good having a team full of slick super spy types when you need to blow something up and kick a whole bunch of ass.

Here’s the press release:

UBISOFT ANNOUNCES WATCH DOGS®: LEGION WILL BE AVAILABLE OCTOBER 29, 2020

Montreal – JULY 12, 2020 – Today at Ubisoft’s first digital press conference, Ubisoft Forward, the company announced that Watch Dogs®: Legion will launch on October 29, 2020, on,  Xbox One, PlayStation®4, Stadia and for Windows PC on Epic Games and Uplay. The game will also be available on UPLAY+*, Ubisoft’s subscription service. Watch Dogs: Legion will also release on Xbox Series X and PlayStation®5 upon the launch of the consoles.

Built with a next-gen concept, Watch Dogs: Legion introduces “Play as Anyone,” a never-before-seen gameplay innovation created by Ubisoft Toronto**, the studio behind Watch Dogs: Legion. Play as Anyone gives players the entire city of London to choose their roster of resistance members from. Every single person in the open world can be recruited and played, is unique and has a backstory, personality and skillset. Watch Dogs: Legion will also support hardware-accelerated DirectX Raytracing on Xbox Series X and full ray-tracing support on Nvidia RTX-equipped PC devices, bringing real-time ray-tracing reflections to the streets of London. Players who purchase Watch Dogs: Legion on Xbox One or PlayStation4 will be able to upgrade their game to the next-gen version (Xbox Series X or PlayStation5) at no additional cost***.

In Watch Dogs: Legion, London is facing its downfall. Amidst the growing unrest of a restless London, a mysterious entity known as Zero-Day has framed secret underground resistance DedSec for coordinated bombings across London. In the aftermath, criminal opportunists from every dark corner of London took hold and filled the void left by a defeated government. As a member of DedSec, players will be going up against criminal opportunists in Watch Dogs: Legion; sadists, mercenaries, cybercriminals, and more; they’ll have to be prepared for a variety of situations. Players must recruit members into their DedSec Resistance to take on these criminal opportunists, liberate London and uncover the mystery behind Zero-Day.

Watch Dogs: Legion lets players recruit anyone they can see in the open world to be part of their DedSec Resistance up to 40 characters at a time. The London setting gives players the perfect backdrop to recruit all kinds of characters – who each have unique skills and weapons – to their Resistance: from an MI6 agent to a bareknuckle fighter, from a brilliant hacker to a getaway driver, from a football hooligan to an inconspicuous old lady. Players can play as any character from their roster of recruits and approach a situation based on their preference; whether the approach is from the sky while riding high on a cargo drone as a construction worker, or on the ground as a spy using high-tech gadgets like a gun-jamming watch and a prototype of a rocket-firing car, the choice is for the player to make.

In addition, Ubisoft announced the Gold, Ultimate and Collector’s Editions**** for Watch Dogs: Legion:

  • Gold Edition includes the base game and the Season Pass, including new story expansions, extra DedSec missions, four unique heroes, the Complete Edition of the original Watch Dogs game from 2014 and more.
  • Ultimate Edition includes Gold Edition and Ultimate digital content, including three new playable heroes, four weeks’ VIP Status to earn currency faster and new masks.
  • Collector’s Edition includes the Ultimate Edition plus the LED Ded Coronet Mask Replica, an exclusive SteelBook®, a set of three stickers and a recto-verso propaganda poster, all inspired by the game’s universe, and instant access to the mask in-game. Collector’s Edition is exclusive to the Ubisoft Store.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds Releases September 18

2K gave the WWE 2K games a temporary hiatus this year, a much-needed move for a series that has spent the last few years struggling to hit the kind of quality fans expect, but won’t be leaving the calendar year empty of a wrestling release thanks to WWE 2K Battlegrounds, which hits September 18th on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.

Battlegrounds, which features stylized graphics for the larger-than-life roster, looks to be a far more arcade-style experience than the sim-style 2K game. In a way it reminds me of Legends of WrestleMania, and I had a blast with that game so I’m all in on this one.

The roster really helps with that, as a lapsed wrestling fan who hasn’t faithfully watched in years, featuring a number of the old school wrasslers I’m familiar with. Mankind? Undertaker? HBK? Sgt. Slaughter? I’m loving the matchups here!

I’m really curious to see how this will play, so expect to hear more as we get closer to that September release.

Here’s the press release:

BRAWL WITHOUT LIMITS IN WWE® 2K BATTLEGROUNDS

Arcade-style, competitive action and social play bring friends and families together to battle it out in the ring

New York, NY – July 8, 2020 – 2K today announced that WWE® 2K Battlegrounds, the arcade-style brawler that will bring over-the-top WWE action to a new level of intensity, will release worldwide on September 18, 2020 for the PlayStation®4 system, the Xbox One family of devices, including the Xbox One X and Windows PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch system and Stadia. Featuring a roster of more than 70 WWE Superstars and Legends at launch, with additional Superstars to be released thereafter, WWE 2K Battlegrounds is now available for pre-order in digital formats and at participating retailers.

Developed by Saber Interactive, WWE 2K Battlegrounds offers explosive excitement in an approachable experience for everyone from passionate WWE fans to casual players, with several ways to play:

  • Exhibition: Take part in Exhibition matches at home or on-the-go, anytime and anywhere, in local and online multiplayer action for up to four players;
  • Campaign: Join the adventures of seven new WWE hopefuls – created exclusively for WWE 2K Battlegrounds – in Campaign mode and compete for the chance to earn a WWE contract. Along the way, you’ll unlock new arenas, inspired by locations such as the Everglades, a military-style Bootcamp, Mexico, New York and Scotland, while receiving guidance from legendary personalities including “Stone Cold” Steve Austin® and Paul Heyman;
  • King of the Battleground: Take on all comers in the King of the Battleground, an online, last-man-standing mode where four players start in the ring while four more wait outside to enter, challenging you to run the gauntlet and defeat them all;
  • Online: Test your toughness in online tournaments and Exhibition matches.

Eight unique Battlegrounds environments play a major role in the action, many of them featuring interactive elements adding to the mayhem alongside a variety of outrageous melee weapons players can use to pummel opponents. Soar from military helicopters, smash opponents with cars in an auto shop and toss them into the jaws of a hungry alligator in the swamp. Bombastic play-by-play is provided by WWE commentators Mauro Ranallo and Jerry “The King” Lawler® to complete the mood.

Players can also customize their own arenas to give each brawl a personal touch and use the Superstar Creator to build their own, unique WWE Superstar with different body types and sizes, facial features, clothing, hair and fighting styles.

“We know WWE fans and gamers enjoy a wide variety of experiences, and with WWE 2K Battlegrounds, we’re presenting a whole new dimension through arcade-style gameplay that’s completely different than our WWE 2K simulation franchise,” said Chris Snyder, Vice President of Marketing for 2K. “We look forward to seeing everyone tear it up with friends and family in the Battlegrounds.”

WWE 2K Battlegrounds is designed to be easy to pick up and play, but challenging to master, with more advanced techniques to be learned and skills to be unlocked so players of all skill levels can enjoy the action. A roster of today’s biggest WWE Superstars, including Roman Reigns®, Drew McIntyre®, Charlotte Flair®, Becky Lynch®, Asuka®, Daniel Bryan®, Kofi Kingston®, Randy Orton® – combined with Legends – including Andre the Giant, Undertaker®, Mankind®, Shawn Michaels®, Yokozuna, Sgt. Slaughter and many more, offers fan favorites for all generations of the WWE Universe to enjoy, with more unlockable Superstars to come via free updates in the future. Each Superstar utilizes one of five class styles, and each class style has its own combat moves, strengths and weaknesses. Choose from the Powerhouse, Technician, High-Flyer, Brawler and All-Rounder to find the style that works best for you. Arcade-style powerups, such as Flaming Fist, Ice Breath and Earthquake, are accompanied by colorful visual effects, offering extra excitement and an additional dimension of strategy that can quickly change the direction of a match.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds is available now for pre-order in Standard Edition (MSRP $39.99) and Digital Deluxe Edition (MSRP $49.99). 'Warlords of New York' Expansion Hits 'The Division 2' in March

Continuing Ubisoft’s trend of strong post-launch support of their titles, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will be receiving a sizable expansion ‘Warlords of New York’ on March 3rd. The downloadable content (DLC) adds a new storyline, tasking players with tracking down a former Agent now gone rogue, Aaron Keener.
If Keener’s skills weren’t enough, there’s also the environment working against you, as he’s based in lower Manhattan, a former Dark Zone that was recently hit hard by a hurricane, and his cadre of Rogue Agents who will have to be eliminated one by one to work your way through to Keener.
A prologue for the DLC is available with Episode 3 – Coney Island: The Hunt, available February 12 if you own the Year 1 pass, and February 19th for all players.
Here’s the press release:

Tom Clancy’s The Division® 2 Warlords of New York Taking Agents on the Ultimate Manhunt Starting March 3

  • The Division 2’s narrative-driven expansion will bring players to a new devastated open world in South Manhattan.
  • Starting tomorrow, players can experience the prologue with Episode 3 – Coney Island: The Hunt, available free on February 12 for Year 1 pass holders, February 19 for all The Division 2 players.

Montreal — February 11, 2020 — Today, Ubisoft announced Tom Clancy’s® The Division 2 Warlords of New York, a narrative-driven expansion in The Division 2, available on March 3, 2020 on the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Windows PC and UPLAY+*, Ubisoft’s subscription service. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 and its expansion will also launch on the new generation gaming platform, Stadia, later in March.

While current The Division 2 players can purchase the expansion on its own, new players can purchase the Standard Edition, which includes The Division 2 base game and The Division 2 Warlords of New York expansion. The Ultimate Edition, which gives players both the game and its expansion, as well as all of The Division 2’s Year 1 content, classified assignments and unlocked specializations, will also be available. All players must be at Level 30 and have reached World Tier 5 to join The Division 2 Warlords of New York. As such, each edition of the game will come with a Level 30 boost that players can activate if they wish to do so, to immediately jump into the New York expansion. After completing The Division 2 Warlords of New York campaign, Agents can then fast travel freely between Washington DC and New York City to enjoy the entire range of The Division 2’s content.

All players pre-purchasing** the expansion will be granted a free Level 30 boost that they can use at their discretion to jump their character to Level 30 in The Division 2, ahead of the expansion’s release.

A Narrative Expansion to Discover a New Area in New York City

In Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Warlords of New York, Division Agents will go on the ultimate manhunt for Aaron Keener, a former Division Agent who has now gone rogue. Keener, along with his network of Rogue Agents, is now a major threat to the burgeoning rebirth of civilization. To track down Keener, Agents will roam the untamed living open world of Lower Manhattan; a former Dark Zone that was recently hit by a devastating hurricane that hit New York City harder than anywhere else in the US. Agents are tasked to explore new zones, each with iconic locations such as Two Bridges, Chinatown, and Wall Street. To get to Keener, players must take down each of his Rogue Agents.  Each Rogue Agent has their own unique back story and skill – which you gain once you take them down.

The Ultimate Vision of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Warlords of New York

After taking the time to hear and gather community feedback, core gameplay enhancements have been implemented across various topics such as build diversity, gear streamlining and even more meaningful loot.

Along with The Division 2 Warlords of New York, Title Update 8 will include an RPG overhaul, allowing players to better read and manage their gear inventory. The UI screen will be updated to always show the roll ranges for each stat on a piece of gear or weapon. The overhaul also includes the return of god rolls, improving readability and helping players make better decisions on the gear’s usefulness to their build. Additionally, players will see a more streamlined gear recalibration system, with item and stat usefulness indicators, as well as permanent attribute and stat storage at the recalibration station. This will allow Agents the flexibility to plan the perfect build.

The existing Dark Zones in The Division 2 are also being revitalized, returning to a simpler rogue mechanic. The focus is on rewarding player-to-player interaction, whether its fighting against each other or helping a fellow Agent against a tough Rogue player.

In The Division 2 Warlords of New York, the players’ level cap will increase from Level 30 to Level 40, but it doesn’t stop there. The Division 2 Warlords of New York is also introducing an infinite progression system, the SHD level, and 4 new skills that can be used throughout the game. Owners of the expansion will also get access to new gear and new weapons.

Introducing Seasons, including Leagues and the Return of Global Events

The expansion will also introduce a new post-launch philosophy: Seasons – a 3-month-long themed endgame event with a new main target and his network to track down, introducing them at a regular pace, each with their own stories and unique rewards. The first season begins one week after the release of The Division 2 Warlords of New York. In addition to the Seasonal Manhunt, Seasons will offer new in-game activities.  Leagues are a series of challenges for players with opportunities to unlock rewards based on players’ ability to complete such challenges.  Players will also see the return of Global Events, time-limited in game events during which a global modifier is applied to the entire game and players will be rewarded by completing specific tasks. During each Season, players will grow their Season level to unlock various rewards by participating in the various seasonal activities or even simply playing the game. Players interested in collecting additional rewards can acquire a Season Pass. Available Tomorrow: Tom Clancy’s The Division 2: Episode 3 – Coney Island: The Hunt

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday February 12 for Year 1 pass holders (February 19 for all players), Episode 3 – Coney Island: The Hunt, the last episode of The Division 2’s free Year 1 post-launch content plan, will be available to play. Episode 3 serves as the prologue to The Division 2 Warlords of New York.

Episode 3 – Coney Island: The Hunt features two main missions, two classified assignments (for Year 1 pass holders), a new specialization, “Firewall, “and new rewards as part of the referral program, as well as new weapons and exotic weapon.

'Tom Clancy's The Division 2' Title Update 6.1 Releases December 10th

Just in time for the holiday season, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is getting Title Update 6.1 which brings with it an in-game Christmas event called Situation: Snowball. Take down enemies wearing bright red Santa hats to get an exclusive new snowball gun, plus if you log in between December 10th and January 7th, you’ll get a Santa hat of your own.
Want more? How about the Silent Night Apparel Cache, with 35 new apparel items to collect. Log in during that same 10th-7th window and you’ll get a free key to open a cache. If you’re a Year One Pass holder, you’ll get another three keys to use before the event ends.
In non-holiday items, there’s a beta for the Hardcore Mode that players have been asking about for ages. This mode isn’t for everyone, with permadeath of your character bringing the ultimate penalty for failure, but it would be the pinnacle of bragging rights.
I’m not sure I’ll give that a shot, as I often play late at night before heading to bed and drowsy Rod plus Hardcore Mode would equal disaster.

Here’s the press release:

IN-GAME HOLIDAY EVENT, SITUATION: SNOWBALL, HIGHLIGHTS NEXT UPDATE
FOR TOM CLANCY’S THE DIVISION® 2, RELEASING DECEMBER 10

Today Ubisoft announced that Title Update 6.1 (TU 6.1) for Tom Clancy’s The Division® 2 will be available for all players on December 10. To ring in the holiday season, Title Update 6.1 brings a themed in-game event, Situation: Snowball. Some of Washington D.C.’s most elusive enemies are taking a special pride in celebrating, wearing a bright red Santa Hat and taunting you about it! Taking these enemies down will drop a new, exclusive weapon that shoots… snowballs.

As part of this in-game holiday event, all players logging in the game between December 10 and January 7 will get their own Santa Hat to celebrate the holiday season.

The Silent Night apparel event is also included in TU 6.1, bringing with it a dark winter theme. The Silent Night Apparel Cache features 35 new apparel items to collect All players who log into The Division 2 during the event receives one free key, with Year One Pass holders earning an additional three keys as a bonus, available until the event ends.

Starting with the Silent Night apparel event players will now also have the option to purchase Apparel Event caches with Premium Credits and directly send them as gifts to friends and clan members.

In addition, a beta version of the new Hardcore Mode will be part of Title Update 6.1.  In this new mode, death is permanent, making the entire The Division 2 campaign the ultimate challenge for Agents. Since there is no chance to respawn, Division Agents must be tactical and careful to see how far they can get. Play in co-op for a better chance to reach endgame and overcome Washington D.C. threats and enemies.

Led by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with seven other studios around the world*, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is the next evolution in the open-world online shooter RPG genre that the first game helped establish. Set seven months after a deadly virus was released in New York City, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 brings players into a fractured and collapsing Washington D.C. The world is on the brink, its people living through the biggest crisis ever faced in human history. As veteran Division agents, players are the last hope against the complete fall of society as enemy factions vie for control of the city. If Washington D.C. is lost, the entire nation falls. Building upon more than two years of listening to and learnings from The Division community, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will offer a substantial campaign that organically flows into a robust endgame, to create a cohesive and meaningful experience for all types of players, helping players emphasize their freedom to make strategic choices and hone their own approach.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is available on the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Windows PC, UPLAY+**, Ubisoft’s subscription service. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will also launch on the new generation gaming platform, Stadia.

Project Titan Now Available In 'Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint'

Ubisoft has done a great job of updating Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, responding quickly to player feedback while still moving forward with the game’s planned content. The latest addition is the promised raid content, Project Titan, a four-player mission that brings higher challenge and greater rewards.
With four bosses to take on, each using unique mechanics players will need to adapt to, I’m looking forward to trying this out. Check out some screenshots and the trailer, then get the game updated and give it a shot! You’ll need a Gear Score of 150+, but that’s not hard to have attained at this point – getting your team organized and communicating will likely be harder to get done, especially if you have friends like mine.

Here’s the press release:

SQUAD UP, RAIDS ARE NOW AVAILABLE IN TOM CLANCY’S GHOST RECON® BREAKPOINT

Team Up to Fight New Deadly Enemies in the Ghost Recon Franchise’s First-Ever Raid

Montreal — November 28, 2019 — Today, Ubisoft announced that Project Titan, the first raid in the franchise’s history, is now available, free for all Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon® Breakpoint players on the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Windows PC starting November 28. Additionally, Project Titan will be available on Stadia, the new generation gaming platform from Google, later in 2019.

Project Titan introduces a four-player raid, which will test the teamwork and ability of the most experienced players as they take on the game’s toughest end-game challenge and face the most advanced Skell Technology drones, The Titans.

Project Titan takes place on Golem Island, an entirely new location off the coast of Auroa featuring unique environments full of sulfur, ashes and an active volcano. A faction of Wolves, called the Red Wolves, have taken over the island and refactored the AI to work on new lethal prototype drones. Ghosts will need to gather intel to find these drones and push their skills to the limit to take them down.

To successfully complete a raid, players will need to destroy four bosses: Baal, Quantum Computer, Gargoyle and Cerberus, each with their own unique design and mechanics that will require tactical coordination and communication to overcome.

Players will need to assemble a full squad of four players each with a Gear Score/Level of over 150 to access Project Titan. The raid will open with Normal difficulty and reward players with some of the best loot and gear in the game. The raid will be reset weekly, providing a fresh challenge to players by introducing objectives, enemy setups and rewards. In addition, Easy and Heroic difficulty modes will be introduced early 2020. Project Titan is the first major content addition since the launch of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint and follows a series of free updates which brought major improvements to the game. New 'Darksiders Genesis' Trailer Spotlights Strife

Darksiders Genesis is winding its way to the first half of its split launch, with PC and Google Stadia versions releasing December 5th, 2019, and they’ve just released a new trailer to spotlight new character Strife.
The trailer, split between cinematic and gameplay, showcases a very different playstyle than the one sported by Strife’s brother, War. The ranged-heavy offensive output will allow players who prefer that style to stick mostly to Strife during the game, which allows gamers to switch between the two at will and supports two-player co-op – both local and online.
Here’s the press release:

Darksiders Genesis: Introducing Strife – Rider of the White Horse

Vienna, Austria and Austin, Texas, November 27th, 2019 – May we introduce you to Strife?
One… Two Three.
Strife, the Rider of the White Horse, is both impulsive and witty, true to the motto “Shoot first, ask questions later” or “Two Guns, one Horseman”.
He is the one who has blood on his boots on a pretty much constant basis. He fought countless enemies with his two best friends, Mercy and Redemption and the protection of his impenetrable armor. Always by his side is Mayhem, Strife’s phantom steed.
In Darksiders Genesis you can choose to play either War or his brother Strife, and head into combat side by side in two player cooperative mode (couch co-op trash talk, but also online). The story takes place before the events of the original game when Lucifer, the enigmatic and deceptive demon king, plots to upset the Balance by granting power to master demons throughout Hell.
Darksiders Genesis will release on PC and Google Stadia on December 5th 2019, and PlayStation®4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch will follow on February 14th 2020. Pre-order here: https://darksiders.com/order-here/
