TPC River Highlands Course Revealed In PGA Tour 2K21

I’m incredibly curious to see PGA Tour 2K21, created by Nova Scotia development house HB Studios, and the wait is nearing an end with pre-orders now available and the reveals starting to ramp up.

Today they unveiled the first look at a licensed course, TPC River Highlands, a Connecticut course located in Cromwell that overlooks the Connecticut River. It’s a short course by PGA Tour standards, relying more on challenging approach shots than long fairways to give golfers fits. The course is home to one of the more exciting final layouts, with holes 15-17 circling a pond before hole 18 takes it back to the clubhouse – it’s the cap on a second half that’s far more interesting than the opening nine holes.

Here’s the course trailer, expect to see several more as we get closer to the August 21st release date.

You can pre-order PGA Tour 2K21 on PC, PS4 or Xbox One.

NHL Fans Turn To EA Sports NHL 20 With Season On Hiatus

If you’re an NHL fan starving for your hockey fix, what are you supposed to do now that the league has suspended its season? Some fans turned to EA Sports NHL 20, simulating the games and putting them up on YouTube for other fans to watch.
Is it perfect? No – the shot totals are way out to lunch and the results – while possible – seem kind of unlikely, but with the help of the game’s built-in gameplay slider system  gamers are adjusting it slowly but surely to be a bit more realistic.
We’ll see if they can get it figured out before the league picks back up again… Until then this is at least something different than the ‘games from the past’ lineup I expected to be watching.

505 Games Published 'Total Tank Simulator' Hits Steam In 2020

The hilariously-named dev studio Noobz From Poland will be teaming with 505 Games to release Total Tank Simulator on Steam in 2020. The physics-based battle game is a whole lot more than just tanks, however, with infantry, artillery, and airplanes to contend with as well.
The vibrant colours and simple models make this one stand out from the crowd, but I’d expect the massive armies and minute-to-minute gameplay will what keeps your attention. This might have historical battlefields and weapons, but it’s a far cry from a historical simulation.
Here’s the press release:

It’s been a little over a year since Megaquarium released on PC, and the theme park tycoon management game has developed a dedicated audience that should grow as it appears on console for the first time.
With both campaign and sandbox modes, the aquarium simulator should keep gamers busy for quite a while as they try to build the ideal aquatic attraction.

MudRunner Sequel Revealed At Gamescom

I had a lot of fun with MudRunner, chewing through terrain with a full load of whatever they asked me to deliver, but as a Canadian there was clearly something missing…copious amounts of snow.
Fortunately Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive saw that and addressed it in the sequel to MudRunner – SnowRunner. With maps up to four times larger than that in MudRunner, gamers can expect some truly hellacious terrain to conquer.
SnowRunner is expected to hit in 2020 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Here’s the press release:
