Video: Opening 17 Minutes of Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
Probably the most intriguing part of Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey to me is the educational angle, and maybe that’s just down to having kids and how that makes you think about what they can get from things.
I really like how it shows the effects of interacting with objects in the environment, how that shapes development and behaviour. It’s hard to really draw too many conclusions from the short bits of gameplay available at this point, but if that continues throughout the game this could really be a great way for kids to learn about evolution and how environmental factors play a crucial role.
